This Website and the Hot line should be your first means of communication.  The web site will be up to date, so check back on a regular basis for information about games, practices, league meetings, cancellations, field closures, fund raising events, times and dates.  If you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact your child’s coach before seeking information from the directors.

  1. Special Olympics of Massachusetts is proud to announce the new

  2. North Shore Rovers Youth Soccer Team!!


  3.     This brand new, free of cost, fall team is open to all interested Special Olympic athletes from the North Shore area, boys and girls, ages 8-15.  The program will be all about learning the game, playing as a team and, most importantly, HAVING FUN!  Head Coach Jack Steele encourages all players to come out whether they have never kicked a soccer ball before or can dribble like Pele! 


  4.     We expect that our home practice field will be located in Swampscott.  The season lasts approximately 8 weeks, starting in early September.  Once a week, one hour practices will be held on Sunday mornings for six weeks.  The end of the season is finished with two Special Olympics sponsored events:  an exciting team day of play at the North Division Games at Pingree School in South Hamilton, and the State Cup Games at Governor’s Academy in Byfield.  Both events are fun filled days of celebration, teamwork, pride, and becoming part of the larger family of Special Olympics Athletes.  Families and friends are encouraged to celebrate the athlete’s accomplishments and come cheer their players on!!


  5.     North Shore Rovers Coaches will be fully certified and trained by Special Olympics, CORI checked and ready to play!  High School volunteers will also be trained and fully supervised by the Head Coaches.  Dates and more specific information will be posted as soon as it’s available.  To ensure an adequate number of volunteers, uniforms, and equipment, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible if your child would like to join the team.

    The Saugus Youth Soccer Association is pleased to announce participation in the Playing it Forward Donation program.

    Playing It Forward is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. Their mission is to provide new and used sports equipment to disadvantaged children around the world and they promote and support communities and organizations, with limited resources, the tools needed in order to maintain sports programs, promote health and well-being and an active lifestyle for children.

    SYSA will be accepting donations through the month of August during our free pick up games (Tuesday - Thursday) This is a great opportunity to empty your closets and open your hearts.
